The cooker includes an inner pot and lid, outer pot and cover, steaming plate, spatula and measuring cup. The steaming plate is useful for vegetables, dumplings or fish while the cooker handles the rest of the meal.
At 600W, with a 35W keep-warm setting, it is simple and pleasantly unfussy. The rounded Vanilla Cream finish also feels at home left out on the worktop rather than hidden in a cupboard.

Tatung has been making electrical products in Taiwan since 1918. Its multi-functional rice cooker arrived in the 1960s and became a staple in Taiwanese homes. More than 15 million have been sold since its launch.
Known as Tatung, or Ta Tung, in English and ?? (Dtng) in Chinese, the brand is a piece of Taiwanese kitchen history.
