Description

Bordallo Pinheiros pink cabbage cake stand is a striking centrepiece. Use it to display sweet treats at birthday parties and family feasts.

The plate resembles a frilly-edged cabbage leaf. Its rosy pink hue gives it an eye-catching, retro look. A sturdy base keeps it stable on your table.

Made in Portugal, each stand is lovingly hand-painted. The white vein detail is beautifully realistic.

The cake stand is a lovely gift for bakers and food lovers. Pair it with pink napkins and dainty cake plates. Its a stylish way to serve a Victoria sponge or stack of blondies.

Cabbage tableware, or cabbageware, dates back to the 18th century. It was particularly fashionable in the US in the 1960s. Now, cabbageware is enjoying another surge of popularity. This is driven by the maximalist trend which embraces bold colours, textures and patterns.

Bordallo Pinheiro tableware adds personality to your home. Create an eclectic collection for yourself or handpick pieces to give as gifts. They are perfect for friends who collect quirky, colourful homeware.

About Bordallo Pinheiro

The Portuguese ceramics studio, Bordallo Pinheiro, was set up in 1884. Brothers Raphael and Feliciano Bordallo Pinheiro started the venture, and many of the pieces today are still made to Raphaels designs. In only twenty-one years, Bordallo Pinheiros bold, artistic ceramics gained international recognition. Raphael took inspiration from the flora and fauna around his home town of Caldas, as well as drawing on ideas from the Renaissance and from the Art Nouveau & Naturalism movements.
