Meet the maker: Tissage Moutet
Tissage Moutet is a family-run weaving house in Orthez, France. Its story began in 1874, when Jean-Baptiste Moutet bought a fabric shop in the town. The first weaving workshop followed in 1913.
Today, the Moutet family makes table, kitchen and home linen using Basque and Jacquard weaving. Traditional textile knowledge sits alongside fresh ideas, with unique designs developed in collaboration with artists, designers and other creators.
Look out for bold woven patterns and the Toile de Matres collection, which interprets works of art through Jacquard weaving.
