Description
7″H, 12″ Dia.; Stainless Steel
The Molten Collection has taken many forms over the years but always maintains all of the incredible hand-craftsmanship that this motif has always employed. The collection celebrates hand-craftsmanship at its most intense level. Every bead is an individual weld that has been carefully dropped in place by a very skilled artisan. Each piece is visibly different from another because the beading changes subtly based on the individual style of the artisan that made it. Molten Frost is a new finish that brings a matte and rustic feeling to the familiar forms. The etched surface also masks scratching that could appear over time with high polished stainless steel. “This collection represents a way of living that I really love – streamlined, timeless shapes… objects which reverberate with the skill of their maker and yet do not fit into a traditional interpretation of craft. The new Molten Frost finish creates a new textural interplay for the collection. We see the opposition of matte and shiny in everything these days…from architectural elements, interior finishes to fashion and jewelry. I wanted this collection to carry my love of textural interplay forward as well.”
